Over the last 30 years, the price of over 95% of the very high-grade books [VF - NM] sold, have not wandered very far from the top guide price.

NO MORE. With the advent and growth of the internet, auctions, "slabbing", "pedigrees", and the increased presence of "investors" of every stripe, the prices of many VF - NM books from the "GOLD" AND "SILVER" age, are now measured in terms of price guide top multiples of 2x, 3x, ...10x etc.

I am NOT an active supporter or contributor to these sources of inflationary activity.

I DO NOT identify or sell "pedigree" books. "High grade" is HIGH GRADE! PERIOD.

I do NOT sell "slabbed" books, and I have made a conscious effort to AVOID shifting the responsibility for over-grading, over-hyping, and over-PRICING my books onto a WELL PAID 3rd party that is insulated from the consequences of the comic book market.

However, the higher prices in this catalogue for high-grade books [VF - NM] reflect the REALITY of current MARKET TRENDS. I have no control over those customers [dealers included], who are buying my high-grade books and then re-selling them at 3x - 10x of top guide. In general, the highest-grade books in this catalogue [VF/VF+ - NM] are from top guide to double top guide, and at this time, these are relatively MODERATE and reasonable prices.
